Germans have two contradictory ways of describing customer service in their country. "Der Kunde ist Koenig," which translates to "The customer is king," and "Servicewueste" or "service desert." So how did Germany end up with the reputation as a country where good customer service is about as hard to find as water in the Sahara? And is this bad rap justified?
