Two percent increase of sales tax means more financial pain for the people of Greece

While Eurozone finance ministers met in Brussels to hammer out an agrrement on what do do about the Greek debt crisis, the country is feeling the pinch of the austerity measures the Athens government has had to implement. These include a 2- percent increase in VAT or Sales Tax, bringing it up to 21- percent - which its hoped will raise more than a Bbillion euros in desperately needed revenue for the state. But it also means more financial pain for the people of Greece.
