Turkish Prime Erdogan criticises EU for not arresting or extraditing PKK rebels - je 27.10.2007 16

Turkish Prime Recep Tayyip Erdogan has criticised the European Union for not doing enough to help his country deal with activists from the PKK, or Kurdistan Workers' Party. He accused European countries of not arresting or extraditing rebels despite classifying the PKK as a terrorist organisation. His comments came after Turkish and Iraqi officials said there were no plans for further talks on how to avert a major offensive aimed at cracking down on Kurdish rebels based in northern Iraq.
