Tomorrow Today - Brilliant Minds: Australian Climate Researcher Noel Keenlyside - 13.10.2008

Constanze TressOctober 13, 2008

In Brilliant Minds, Tomorrow Today visits young, up and coming scientists from all over the world who have come to Germany to live and do research. In conjunction with UNESCO's Year of the Earth 2008, the coming shows will address geosciences. Australian scientist Noel Keenlyside is investigating the dynamics of the circulation of ocean currents and their effect on climate change. He is also trying to find out how humans can develop ways to forecast how the climate will change within a decade. Tomorrow Today visits him where he heads a program for young scientists at the Leibniz Institute for Marine Sciences (IFM-GEOMAR) in the northern German city of Kiel.
