Thousands of Mousavi's supporters staged fresh demonstrations across Tehran

Reports from Iran indicate police have clashed with supporters of opposition leader Mirhossein Mousavi outside Tehran University. The unrest occured during Friday prayers led by the powerful former Iranian president Akbar Hashemi-Rafsandjani. During his address, Rafsandjani said Iran was in a state of "crisis". He also urged the government to release those detained during the unrest that followed Mousavi's defeat in the disputed June 12th election.
