The European Union says Russian gas could soon be flowing to Europe through Ukraine after the outlines of a deal were agreed upon. Russia says it will restore gas supplies to Europe via Ukraine once international monitors are in place. While the two countries have agreed in principle over the supervision of pipelines through Ukraine, details have not been finalised.
