Sweden assumes the EU's rotating presidency with a pledge to improve the economy

Sweden has taken over the rotating EU presidency from the Czech Republic. Stockholm says it's committed to fighting both skyrocketing public debt and high unemployment and wants to ensure any economic recovery is sustainable. Another item topping the political agenda is getting the stalled Lisbon Treaty back on track.
