Russia's Soccer Wives Show Naked Ambition

Russian daily newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda has hit on a novel way of inspiring the Russian national soccer team to glory in the European Championships - every day of the tournament the paper will print one of a series of naked photographs featuring the wives and girlfriends of the country's soccer stars. Nine partners undressed for the cameras to encourage their men to win matches at Euro 2004. Only a strategically placed placard featuring a photo of their man offered cover for each of the ladies, who will appear in a full page spread in the newspaper until the Russian team flies home.
