Pope Benedict delivers his Christmas Day message from the balcony at St Peter's Basilica

As Christmas celebrations continue in many parts of the world, Pope Benedict the 16th has delivered his traditional Urbi et Orbi blessing at St Peter's Basilica. The holiday began with a tumble for him as he was assaulted at the start of the traditional Christmas Eve mass by a spectator. But appearing on the balcony at St Peters earlier today, the pope seemed unscathed.
