Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk receives the Charlemagne Prize for European commitment

Polish prime minister Donald Tusk has been awarded the Charlemagne Prize here in Germany. Speaking at the award ceremony in Aachen, German chancellor Angela Merkel paid tribute to Tusk as a European of conviction. The prize is the leading award in recognition of service to the cause of European unity, which the jury saw in Tusk's effort to bring Poland back into the heart of Europe.
