Official documents show Kohl's government asked experts to re-write a report on Gorleben as a storage site for nuclear waste

The German government says it will examine allegations that in 1983 the adminstration of Christian Democrat chancellor Helmut Kohl put pressure on scientists to approve a site to store nuclear waste. Official documents have come to light showing Kohl's government had asked experts to re-write a report on the suitability of Gorleben as a storage site.
