A new report by the German Labour Ministry delivered a shock to workers and employees across the country today. It revealed that while gross salaries and wages are increasing - the amount of money people actually take home after taxes and social insurance contributions is going down. In fact, net pay - adjusted to take inflation into account - is now at the same level it was in 1986...
