Ministers from the European Union hold talks in Brussles to coordinate policy on asylum seekers

Ministers from the European Union have been holding talks in Brussels to co-ordinate policy on granting asylum. The number of people applying for asylum in EU countries has been steadily increasing. In the first half of this year the number of applications went up by 25 percent in Germany alone.
