Lufthansa predicted earnings will drop significantly in 2009 as the global recession

Germany's biggest airline, Lufthansa, says profit tumbled 64 percent last year to just under 600 million euros....And it predicted earnings will drop significantly in 2009 as the global recession depresses demand for travel. Lufthansa’s normally lucrative cargo division has also carried less freight as automakers and other manufacturers trim production.
