Police are investigating what drove a man to attack children at a nursery in western Belgium - stabbing two infants and a woman to death. Eleven other children and two female staff have been treated at local hospitals. The suspected attacker, who Belgian media say was a psychiatric patient, was detained soon afterwards at a local shop. The assault took place at a day care centre in Dendermonde - 30 kilometers west of Brussels.
