The European Commission has kicked off a campaign against the gender pay gap. Speaking in Brussels, the Equal Opportunity Commissioner called the discrepancy in pay between men and women "discrimination". According to EU figures, women are paid on average 14.7 per cent LESS than their male counterparts, despite doing exactly the same job.
