It looks likely that Georgia will remained mired in instability as the opposition continues to press for a re-run of the presidential election held earlier this month. The country's election commission has now confirmed the victory in that poll of incumbent Mikhail Saakashvili. But the opposition says the vote was rigged and tens of thousands joined a protest rally in the capital Tiblisi on Sunday.
