International criticism on Pakistan - je 05.11.2007 19 UTC

The crackdown in Pakistan has drawn international criticism and many countries are examining their financial aid packages to the country. Germany says it will review development aid to Islamabad. But Pakistan is an important partner for many countries - not least for the US in the fight against terrorism. Washington is also reviewing aid but the British Foreign Secretary, David Miliband, said London is not considering ending payments right now.
