Großbritannien: die Eröffnung des größten Offshore-Windparks der Welt

Karlotta BahnsenSeptember 23, 2010

#Thursday brought a major step forward in Britain's pursuit of renewable energies. The world’s largest offshore wind farm opened Thursday off the coast of Kent, where 100 turbines will generate enough electricity to power 200,000 homes. The Thanet Offshore Wind Farm, built by Swedish power company Vattenfall, will move the UK a bit closer to its clean energy goals. Currently, just 3 per cent of Britain’s electricity comes from renewable sources, compared to a target of 15 per cent. And, it is 25th in the EU league table of green energy.
