Greece is bracing for further violence today, when a funeral ceremony will be held for the teenager shot by police over the weekend. The killing has triggered escalating protests, which police appeared powerless to stop. On Monday night, thousands of people burned and looted shops in central Athens. Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis is due to meet Tuesday with other political leaders to discuss the crisis.
