GM: The largest industrial bankruptcy in US history

The world's biggest car maker for 77 years, General Motors, has filed for bankruptcy. It's the largest industrial bankruptcy in US history, giving US taxpayers a 60-percent ownership stake in the company. Under US-bankruptcy protection, GM stands a chance to re-emerge as a leaner yet profitable company.
