Germany formally agrees to take in two prisoners released from the US detention camp at Guantanamo bay

Germany has said it will accept two prisoners released from the US detention camp at Guantanamo bay in Cuba. Interior minister Thomas de Maziere said that one of the former inmates will be sent to Hamburg and the other to the western state of Rhineland-Palat-inate. German politicians have been split over whether to accept former Guantanamo detainees because of security concerns.
