Maritime officials say Somali pirates have freed an Egyptian ship they held for more than two months. The "Blue Star" was seized on the first of January, carrying a cargo of fertiliser. Meanwhile in another development, German prosecutors are trying to bring charges against nine pirates captured on a German vessel in the Gulf of Aden earlier this week. But because of the complicated legal issues surrounding the incident, Germany's having trouble deciding how to deal with the suspects.
