German police launch a citywide operation in Berlin against suspected Islamist extremists

Here in Berlin, police have carried out raids on 28 apartments they say are linked to possible Islamist extremists. Authorities say they suspect attacks against targets in Russia were being planned and that the raids had nothing to do with Al Qaida threats made against Germany shortly before last month's general election.
