Michael BärOctober 29, 2007

German chancellor Angela Merkel has arrived in India at the start of a four-day visit. It's her first trip to the subcontinent, and she's travelling with a large delegation of German business leaders who are looking for investment opportunities in India's booming economy. Talks with Indian leaders are also expected to focus on the environment. Merkel has made climate change a key priority and is hoping to include India in any emissions deal reached at the UN Climate Conference later this year.
