French President Nicolas Sarkozy speaks out against the wearing of the burka by Muslim women in France

Turning now to France, where President Nicolas Sarkozy has become the first sitting head of state to address both houses of the French parliament in more than 150 years. In the speech at the Palace of Versailles, Sarkozy announced a cabinet reshuffle -- and, more controversially perhaps.. that he would push for banning the "burqa" ... the full-body veil worn by some Muslim women. +++ SYN-MAZ +++
