EU leaders agree on a joint position on bonuses in the financial sector ahead of the G20 summit

EU leaders have come up with a strong statement calling for tighter supervision of world's financial markets. They are also going to push for stricter criteria on manager's bonuses at next weeks G-20 meeting in Pittsburg. They warned against complacency over the fragile recovery of the economy - and want president Barak Obama's sharp warning to Wall Street earlier this week - to be followed by strong action.
