The stoicism demonstrated by Japan's tsunami's survivors has triggered what the coutry's media are calling a new reflection upon Japanese identity and a new appreciation for long esteemed values like duty, courage and endurance. Those qualities will be called upon as the country begins the process of rebuilding dozens of leveled communities and severely damaged infrastructure. In the hard hit Northeast - shortages continue of everything from food and water to fuel.
