Climate change report: Ban Ki Moon calls for concerted action - je 17.11.2007 16

The United Nations' Secretary General says "sweeping, concerted action" is needed now if the world is to avert a climate catastrophe. Ban Ki-Moon made his comments Saturday in Valencia at a meeting of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. The panel has just released a new report warning of "abrupt and irreversable" changes to our climate, while suggesting that the effects could still be mitigated if the world acts quickly.
