Australia's immigration minister has granted permanent residency to a German family whose application was denied twice because their son has Down syndrome. Doctor Bernhard Möller and his family moved to Australia more than two years ago to help fill a shortage of medical workers. The refusal to grant him permanent residency because of his son's disability sparked international outrage.
