China searches for “missing” uranium

Four Chinese men have gone on trial for trying to sell uranium that could be used to make nuclear weapons. The state-controlled China Daily newspaper reports the men were arrested in January after a potential buyer in Hong Kong reported them to the authorities. Despite taking the four men into custody, police have been unable to locate the eight kilograms of uranium, warning that it poses a health risk to people who may come in contact with it.
