Burma dissident Suu Kyi meets minister
Detained Burmese pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi has met for a third time with the cabinet minister designated to handle relations with her. There is no word yet on what the two discussed. Suu Kyi was taken to a government guest house for an hour with Labour Minister Aung Kyi. To put pressure on the Burmese military government, the European Union adopted sanctions against around 1,200 firms as well as expanding visa bans and freezing assets on the country's junta rulers.
