Putin and Sarkozy agree, Iran has nuclear weapons potential.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Russian leader Vladimir Putin have agreed Iran has the potential to acquire nuclear weapons. Putin, however, said he doubted Tehran wanted to do so. Sarkozy and Putin met late on Tuesday at the presidential residence outside Moscow. Independence for Kosovo and Russian gas supplies to Europe were also on the agenda. The two leaders are to meet at the Kremlin on Wednesday for another round of talks.
