Child pornography has been seized from 107 men across Austria, including from the houses of four teachers and a kindergarten worker.

A spokesman for the Federal Office of Criminal Investigations, Alexander Marakovits, said the electronic material was discovered and seized during nationwide house searches.

The police were working from a tip-off from Luxembourg authorities who had been monitoring a child pornography website. They discovered 163 Austrian IP addresses had accessed and downloaded material from a server in Luxembourg. Only 107 of these addresses could be traced.

The men are aged between 18 and 70 from various social backgrounds.

Marakovits said on Sunday that one of the suspects hoarded 20,000 photos and 300 videos.

Lead investigator Harald Gremel said the names of the suspects were provided to prosecutors and that some have already been convicted.
