Painting against sadness – The American Artist Mindy Weisel

She was one of the first children to be born in the Bergen-Belsen displaced persons camp after the end of World War Two. Her parents were survivors of Auschwitz and moved to the United States after the birth of their daughter. Today Mindy Weisel lives in Washington, DC and paints intensely colorful abstract compositions that glow with light and beauty. ARTS.21 met with the artist in Dachau and at an exhibition of her work in Berlin.
