Study Shows Girls Get Better Grades

A report published by the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce has revealed that female students get better grades than their male peers and are less likely either to repeat a year or to leave school without qualifications. The study shows that young men consequently have reduced chances of finding work and are more likely to find themselves unemployed. Researchers believe the findings indicate that the current education system is inadequately tailored to Germany's young male population. Nonetheless, successful female school leavers shouldn't rest on their laurels. GESIS, the German Social Science Infrastructure Services, has produced a report concluding that within the world of academia, women are enjoying professional success at a personal cost, only having children in their late thirties or not at all.
