The animal rights organization PETA has said it would change an advertising campaign in Germany that compared the treatment of animals with the suffering of Nazi Holocaust victims. One of the campaign posters that will no longer be shown juxtaposed images of emaciated concentration camp victims with lines of caged chickens. PETA's change of heart came after Germany's Jewish community won a lawsuit aimed at preventing the campaign, called "Holocaust on your Plate," from being shown. PETA is displaying the exhibition across Europe, and had planned to show the posters in Stuttgart. But its efforts were thwarted when a public prosecutor threatened to confiscate the posters. A PETA representative said the group "decided then to show a picture that didn't have a direct comparison."
